The challenge
Live cricket and Eid programming drove massive, spiky demand. The service needed buffer-free playback at hundreds of thousands of concurrent viewers, strong content protection for premium rights, and bandwidth costs that did not spiral during peaks.
What TiCON did
- Deployed the BlessBit OTT engine for adaptive HLS/DASH/CMAF live and VOD
- Built a hybrid CDN: AWS CloudFront edge blended with private cache nodes in local data centers
- Enabled multi-DRM (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and geo-blocking for premium rights
- Used reseller CloudFront pricing to keep peak bandwidth costs down
The results
