Cloud Migration

Moving from on-premises or another host to AWS (or between clouds) fails most often for the same reasons: no real discovery of what's actually running, no rollback plan, and a fixed-price quote that ignores the workloads regulated industries can't touch first. The 6 R's — rehost, replatform, refactor, repurchase, retire, retain — give each workload the right treatment instead of forcing everything through the same playbook, and AWS's Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) can co-fund eligible projects once a discovery assessment is complete. Bangladeshi teams have an extra wrinkle: banking, telecom, and government workloads carry data-residency and audit requirements that need documenting before a single server moves, not after — retrofitting compliance after a migration is far more expensive than planning for it up front. Cost is the other recurring surprise: a migration quote that only counts compute and ignores data transfer, licensing, and the temporary cost of running old and new environments in parallel during cutover routinely runs over budget. The posts below walk through planning, the most common failure modes seen in real BD projects, and realistic cost ranges by workload size; the migration services page has the full discovery-to-cutover process and a free assessment.
