Microsoft Azure: design, migration and operations
Last updated 21 September 2026
What we do on Azure, and what stays with Microsoft
We design, migrate and run Azure estates. The work is architecture and operations: a landing zone an auditor can read, AKS or App Service for the applications that belong there, and Entra ID linked to the directory you already run.
- Landing zones. Management groups, policy, hub-and-spoke networking, identity and logging, following Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework pattern.
- Identity. Entra ID, single sign-on and conditional access, including hybrid links to an on-premises Active Directory.
- Application platforms. AKS, App Service and Azure Functions, where they fit. We do not move an application to a different runtime just to change the platform.
- Migration. Azure Migrate for assessment and replication, then a wave plan, a cost model and a rollback step for each wave. Azure Migrate speeds up assessment; it does not make a cutover automatic.
- Managed operations. Monitoring, identity hygiene, backups and a named owner for in-scope subscriptions, with response minutes written into the contract.
Microsoft 365 administration is operations work and is scoped separately from the landing zone. Azure consumption stays a Microsoft bill: we do not resell Azure usage on the terms of this page. Staff certification counts are not published. No Azure customer case study is on this site yet. Our public case studies are AWS engagements, so they are not evidence for Azure work; we can discuss a comparable Azure scope during discovery.
Nearest regions, none of them in Bangladesh
Microsoft operates no Azure region in Bangladesh. We checked Microsoft's geographies page on 21 September 2026. Our working set is Central India (Pune), South India (Chennai), West India (Mumbai) and Southeast Asia (Singapore). A region that is announced but not yet open does not count until it is live. We do not publish latency figures from Dhaka.
Azure from Bangladesh: what this page will and will not claim
| Topic | On this page | Not on this page |
|---|---|---|
| Region in Bangladesh | No | A local-region promise, or a latency winner |
| Working-set regions | Central India Pune; South India Chennai; West India Mumbai; Southeast Asia Singapore | Millisecond figures from Dhaka, or treating an announced region as live |
| Commercial path | Architecture, migration and operations, quoted in USD | An Azure reseller or CSP invoice |
| Partner record | Microsoft's Find a partner page and Marketplace partner directory | A screenshot of a badge |
| Pricing | Quote after discovery. Reservations exist and are not restated as a percentage here | A public SKU table, or an AWS saving range applied to Azure |
If personal data is in scope, your counsel decides where it may be processed. Data-protection rules apply as applicable in your jurisdiction and set rules for where personal data lives and how it crosses borders. A transfer needs a documented mechanism, written into the contract. The regions above are an input to that decision, not the answer.
When Azure is the right cloud
Start from the estate you already run. Azure is the usual first step when Microsoft 365, Windows, SQL Server and on-premises Active Directory are already in place. Hybrid identity with Entra ID is the reason, not a cheaper virtual machine.
- Microsoft-centred estates. Windows, SQL Server and Microsoft 365 workloads usually belong on Azure first.
- Identity-led moves. Entra ID linked to on-premises Active Directory is often the first step, and it can land before the applications do.
- Product-led moves. When a product already runs on another cloud, keep it there and land only identity or collaboration on Azure.
- No second identity system without a reason. Multi-cloud needs a reason. Two identity systems and two bills without one are how estates get expensive and hard to audit.
How to verify a Microsoft partner
A badge on a company website is self-published. Microsoft keeps public partner directories, and those are the record. Five checks take a few minutes.
- Step 1:
Open the directory.
Go to Microsoft's Find a partner page and the Microsoft Marketplace partner directory.
- Step 2:
Search the legal name.
Search TICON System Limited as well as TiCON Cloud. A trading-name miss is not proof either way.
- Step 3:
Read the listing.
If a listing exists, the directory is the record for any designation. If none exists, we say so.
- Step 4:
Match the entity to your contract.
The company on the listing should be the company that signs your statement of work. Ask us to confirm that in writing.
- Step 5:
Re-check at renewal.
Microsoft partner programs are reviewed and renamed. Repeat the check at each renewal.
We hold ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (certificate 25/18024) and ISO 9001:2015 (certificate 25/182622), both issued by A Cube TIC Limited. They describe TiCON's own management system, not any Microsoft service. We do not claim a Solutions Partner designation, a CSP number or a specialization.
Migration onto Azure, and running it afterwards
Moving an estate onto Azure is still a migration: inventory, a total-cost model, a wave plan and a rollback step for each wave. Azure Migrate is Microsoft's tool for assessment and replication. Using it does not mean every cutover is automatic. Common sources are on-premises Windows and SQL Server, VMware or Hyper-V, and estates that already sit next to Entra ID.
After cutover, operations are the same job on any cloud: monitoring, identity hygiene, backups, and a named person who answers. The Microsoft bill remains a Microsoft bill. Cost work on Azure is reservation advice and idle-resource removal, quoted as work. We do not publish a percentage saving for Azure.
- Quotes are in USD and quote-based. We do not invoice in other currencies unless a contract says so.
- Taxes apply as applicable in your jurisdiction and the contract.
- SLA minutes are written into the managed-services contract, not on this page. We make no uptime promise here.
Frequently asked questions
Is TiCON a Microsoft Solutions Partner?
This page does not claim a Solutions Partner designation. Check Microsoft's partner directory for the current record.
Do you resell Azure?
No, not on the terms of this page. Azure usage follows your Microsoft agreement unless a written contract says otherwise.
Which Azure region is nearest to Bangladesh?
There is no region in Bangladesh. Our working set is Pune, Chennai, Mumbai and Singapore. We do not publish latency figures from Dhaka.
Azure or AWS?
The estate usually decides. Microsoft-centred identity and Windows and SQL workloads often point to Azure. Read the cloud comparison and ask us for a scoped comparison.
Can you move workloads from AWS to Azure?
Yes, when the workload belongs there. We can also keep the application where it is and move only identity or collaboration.
Can you migrate from on-premises Microsoft estates?
Yes. Windows, SQL Server and Active Directory estates are common starting points. Scope and cutover method are set per engagement.
Do you offer managed Azure operations?
Yes: monitoring, identity administration, backups and a named owner for in-scope subscriptions, quoted in USD. Response minutes are in the contract.
